Summary

Louis Fourteen ("Louis Fourteen", "us", "we", or "our") operates the services available through our website louisfourteen.com (the “Site”) and the Louis Fourteen’s mobile application (the “Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, processing and disclosure of data that identifies or is associated with you (your "Personal Information") when you use our Service.

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the" Act"), Louis Fourteen is the data controller of Personal Information we hold about you. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. All credit/debit cards’ details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties.

If you make a payment for our products or services on our Site or App, the details you are asked to submit will be provided directly to our payment provider via a secured connection. We will not pass any debit/credit card details to third parties.

We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use (“Terms”), accessible at louisfourteen.com/terms.



We work with partners who facilitate reservations at some restaurants, hotels, chauSeur, travel, flights, etc. ("Booking Partners") and third-parties that provide payment services to you through the interface provided by our Service ("Payment Providers”).



By agreeing to the Terms, you are also agreeing to allow Booking Partners to use your personal data for the purpose of providing you the requested services.

By using this louisfourteen.com Site and agreeing and accepting the Terms, you agree to this Privacy Policy. We take appropriate steps to ensure data privacy and security including through various hardware and software methodologies. However, louisfourteen.com cannot guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed online. If you do not agree to this privacy policy, do not accept the terms of service and you may not use the Louis Fourteen Site, Louis Fourteen mobile application and/or Louis Fourteen’s Services.




Collection and Use of Personal Data

“Personal data” means any data which can be associated with you as an individual, either directly or indirectly. We collect diSerent information depending on how you use the Service and how you interact with us.

The personal data we collect via the Service include:

  • Identity data, such as name, title, organization name and position, driving license and passport information.
  • Usage data, which includes information about how you use the Service (including any bookings, reservations or other services we have provided to you, and our conversations with you), and your location.
  • Log-in data, such as your username and password.
  • Payment and transaction data, including your booking history, and certain other information associated with your payments such as your Bank Identification Number (BIN).
  • Preference data, including information about your interests and other relevant information to your bookings, such as likes and dislikes and specific dietary or health restrictions or personal requests to ensure your wellbeing.
  • Technical data, such as the device you are using to access our Services, your unique device ID, your internet protocol (IP), browser type and version, time zone and location, display settings, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access the Service.
  • Marketing and communications data, including any communications we may receive from you, and your preferences in receiving notifications, marketing and other communications from us.
  • Background check information: including credit checks, criminal history, and reference/background checks.

In certain circumstances, we may also collect data about your family members, children, and companions, including their names and ages. We will only ask you for ‘special categories’ of personal data (defined under applicable laws to include details about your health, race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, or trade union membership) to the extent necessary to provide the service and where we are permitted to do so. For example, we may ask you to share information about allergies or other health conditions so that we can accommodate your requests and tailor your experiences.

The list below sets out in more detail the categories of Personal Information we collect about you and how we use that information.



1. Contact Details

We collect contact information such as your name, your email address, your telephone number, and addresses associated with you, your account, or reservation you make with us. We use your contact details to communicate with you directly about the Services we provide, to facilitate our Service to you, and to process queries, issues, or concerns you or other users of our Site or Service might have.

When making reservations, bookings, or other required actions necessary to provide a requested service, we will transfer your contact information to the applicable Booking Partner.

When you choose to make a payment using a Payment Provider through our Service, we will also disclose your contact information, such as your name, telephone number, and email address, to the Payment Provider and/or the Booking Partner’s payment services provider to verify your identity, so that your payment can be processed, and your payment card charged the transaction amount.



2. Payment and Transaction Information

We may ask for you to provide us your payment card details ("Payment Information") and transfer such information to the applicable Booking Partner to facilitate making your reservation and/or fulfill your request. When you choose to pay at an establishment using the Service, you will need to provide your Payment Information. Your Payment Information is provided directly to the Payment Provider. By providing your Payment Information you consent to the Payment Provider and the Booking Partner using your Payment Information for the purpose of processing your payment. Your Payment Information will be securely stored by the Payment Provider for ease of use in future transactions using the Service. We do not collect or store any payment card details and do not at any time receive your payment. When you choose to pay an establishment using the Service, we and our Payment Provider will record this transaction. We will record what items you purchased and the amount you paid. We and our Payment Provider may use this information for analysis relating to the Services; for instance, identifying the cost of an average transaction at the establishment or obtaining general information about the restaurant market. We use this information to provide benefits to you in accordance with our Terms and send marketing communications to you (for more information on marketing communications please see the "Communications" section below).



3. Social or Phone or Email Sign-On

If you connect a social network, such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, to our Site or Service we will collect Personal Information from the social network in accordance with your privacy settings for that network. The connected social network may provide us with information including, but not limited to, your name, username, profile picture, gender, user ID, age range, language, country, followers’ names, and any other information you have agreed to allow third-parties Apps to access. We will use the Personal Information provided to help create a profile for you on our Site or Service and, where we provide the functionality, we will use the information collected to assist you in sharing your experiences on our Site or Service with your friends, followers and/or contacts on the social network. We may also use the connection between the social network and our Site or Service to provide you with updates on the social network that are relevant to the account established on the Service or promotion you are taking part in. Such updates will only be provided with your consent, we will not post to your social network or to your friends, followers or contacts without your consent.



4. App Login Details

In order to ensure the security of your account, we will store the location in which you established your account.



5. Your Preferences

We store information about the preferences you establish for notifications, marketing, content, and how the Site or Service are displayed. We will use your preference settings for the purpose of providing or muting notifications, marketing messages, and features on our Site or Service.



6. Information About Your Location

As part of our Service, we make suggestions and provide content based on the location data you provide to us. Other than information you choose to provide to us, we do not collect information about your precise location. To ensure that our suggestions and content are as relevant as possible, the Internet Protocol ("IP") address of the computer, tablet, smartphone, or other device you connect to our website or app may help us determine your approximate location. We may store the location data you provide to help improve and customize our Service and extract analytics regarding the use of our Service using location data. For example, analyzing how many users make a booking based on our location-based suggestions or in which location(s) our Service is used most often. For the avoidance of doubt, this will be no more precise than the city, state, or country in which you use your device. We may use an approximate location to ensure content on the site is relevant to the city, state, or country you are in. We will not collect or track data regarding your exact location unless you are using our service without our consent. If you give us permission to use and store information about your precise location, we use this information to improve and customize our Service.



7. Log Data

We collect information that your browser sends each time you visit our Service ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your device’s IP address, browser type, browser version, pages visited, time spent on pages of Site or Service, and the date of your visit, as well as other information. In addition, we may use third-party services that collect, monitor, and analyze this type of information to increase our Site and Service’s functionality. These third-party service providers have their own Privacy Policies addressing how they use and store such information. When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device’s unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, and other information.

We use information about how you use and connect to the website or app to present the website or app to you in the most eSective manner for your device. We also use the information we collect about how you use and connect to the website or app to determine products and services that may be of interest to you for marketing purposes.



8. All Personal Information

We will use the Personal Information we collect to monitor and improve the Service and Site, as well as our procedures and processes. We will also use the Personal Information we collect to help us develop new products and services. Where necessary we will seek your expressed consent for the use of your Personal Information for these purposes. Our use of your Personal Information for the purposes of improving and developing the Service, the Site, and procedures and processes will not result in the procurement of Personal Information that was not previously publicly available being made public on our Site or Service.
We may anonymize and aggregate any of the information we collect, so as that it does not identify you directly. We may use anonymized information for purposes that include testing our IT systems, research, data analysis, improving the Site/ Service and developing new products and features.
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive.
We use "cookies" to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.




Who Has Access to Your Personal Information?


Business Transaction

Your Personal Information may be disclosed or transferred to buyers of, investors in, or lenders to (on terms of confidentiality) prospective buyers of, investors in, or lenders to our business or any of our assets as part of a sale of our business or any of our assets.



Service Providers

In addition to Booking Partners and Payment Provider, we may employ third-party entities and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to fulfill Service-related requests, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is being used. These third-party entities have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose not explicitly set out in this Privacy Policy.




How We Store Your Personal Information?



International Storage and Transfer

Your Personal Information is stored in electronic and physical records maintained by us and/or our service providers. While we are based in the United Arab Emirates, our service providers may have servers located overseas, where the laws may not give the same level of protection to personal data as within the United Arab Emirates. By submitting your Personal Information, you agree that we may transfer, store, or process your Personal Information in this way.




How Your Personal Information Is Used?



Communications

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing, or other promotional materials/information that may be of interest to you, including marketing and promotional content and oSers through SMS, email, app push notifications, and/or newsletters. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email or SMS we send or through your phone settings.


Similarly, the Personal Information we provide to the Booking Partner and/or restaurant to facilitate a reservation may be used by the Booking Partner, restaurant, or their business partners to contact you with newsletters, marketing, promotional materials, and other information, which may be of interest to you through SMS, email, or app push notifications. You may opt out of receiving these communications following the instructions provided in the relevant SMS or email or through your phone settings




Security and Compliance



Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us and we seek to use various reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative measures to help ensure that your data is secure, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.



Compliance with Laws

We will disclose your Personal Information when required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Our Service or Site may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

Children's Privacy

Our Service and Site do not address anyone under the age of 12 (a “Child"). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 12. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 12 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.

Our Service may contain links to third party sites whose information practices may be diSerent than ours. Please consult all third party sites’ privacy notices, as we have no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, third parties.



Your rights

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • Right to information: this is precisely why we have written this policy.
  • Right of access: you have the right to access all of your personal data at any time.
  • Right of rectification: you have the right to rectify at any time your inaccurate, incomplete or obsolete personal data.

APPLICABLE LAW and jurisdiction

This privacy policy, its subject matter, and its formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the United Arab Emirates laws. The United Arab Emirates courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising under this Privacy Policy.
